716700 2008-11-02 19:52:00 Does anybody know of a good partitioning software that will work with vista i have tried partition magic but it won't run on vista as it's incompatable.

Just after something basic as not that great at doing this sort of thing but want to run xp as well.

(Do a clean install, install XP then install Vista)

Or it may screw things up, if you install XP (If Vista is already installed)

Burn a live cd and boot off the CD.
You'll need to change some bios settings.

Won't resize system partitions.

Use gparted as suggested earlier. If you want to pay some $$, get Paragon Partition Manager which seems to be up-to-date & Vista compatible.
