| 716535 | 2008-11-02 01:08:00 | I have a Dynalink Wireless USB Adapter DYWUK54 which I cannot use on my Vista64 PC as an adhoc network. www.dynalink.co.nz I have installed the driver, and set up an Adhoc network exactly the same on a Vista (64bit) PC and a WindowsXP PC. Running on the WindowsXP PC my iphone can see the network set up, but on the Vista machine it cannot. At this stage I have been setting them up with no security just trying to get it to go. These networks I have set up with the provided "Dynalink Wireless Client Utility". When this didnt work on the Vista machine I have also tried setting it up using the Vista wireless networking settings. Vista PC is just running Windows Firewall. Turning it off doesnt seem to make a difference. I have also had the same problem trying to get a laptop with built in wifi to see the Vista Adhoc wireless network, so dont think it's an issue with the iphone. (Havent tried the laptop connecting to the WindowsXp PC though) Any ideas on what differences between the two PCs I should be looking at please to see the problem? |

| 716538 | 2008-11-02 19:12:00 | Thanks guys for the links so far. It appears if I do what's specified in both your links it works most of the time (but not consistently). I'll spend more time on it tonight, as so far although it appears I connect to the network I can get any apps to communicate for it, but this may be an iphone problem. |
