| 497493 | 2006-11-08 08:01:00 | I was surfing the Gameplanet (www.gpforums.co.nz) forums and under there Broadband forum (http:). I found an interesting thread on Exchange Locations (www.gpforums.co.nz) & found they have setup a wiki on Telecom NZ exchanges locations ( hwiki.digitalsouth.net.nz) I thought this may be a useful resource for people wanting to know where there exchange is. Disclaimer I don’t know how accurate the data on exchange locations is. |

| 497495 | 2006-11-08 11:27:00 | Even someone as ignorant as I am about its accuracy suspects it's far from complete. I see that Auckland has 20 exchanges and Christchurch 6, while Wellington & Dunedin have 1 each. The Dunedin address is a street name I recognise. It's a quiet residential one in North-East Valley. Certainly, the street no. given is close to a main road, but it's laughable to suggest that's Dunedin's only telephone exchange. Presumably the Wellingtonians here should be even more surprised about their single entry for our capital city..? |
