496591 2006-11-05 09:47:00 Some time either this week or next we will be upgrading to the "Go large" plan ( This was not my idea ;), it was my dad's)

After reading quite a numbers of threads on Here & on www.nzdsl.co.nz, I am a bit worried that the "Go large" plan is going to be a pain for a while.

Would us been on the "Go large" plan effect Telecom / Xtra Wifi hotspots? I.e.: the Traffic Management & Fair use policy??

Also does any one know if FTP transfers are coved in the Traffic Management?

Thanks :)

496595 2006-11-08 06:41:00 Woah. What is happening here? I thought I saw all new threads over the past few days but one pops up with a message completely unrelated to the subject.

The Go large plan is likely to be a pain for quite some time for intensive traffic consumers. It should be good for those with a constant trickle of traffic though.

All traffic including FTP is counted. You didn't seriously think Xtra would let you off just because you use a different protocol, did you?

496596 2006-11-08 06:45:00 Whoops - there was something relevant to the subject in there! The answer is no. The wireless hotspots cost extra (though they were free to Xtra customers for a while). TGoddard (7263)
