| 497927 | 2006-11-10 07:54:00 | I'm sure everyone's heard those jokes before: When you are counting objects, you go "0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D...". I just discovered another one, after it happened to me: While reinstalling windows for the nth time, I came to the part where you fill in your name, company and product key. Sadly, and without even realising it, I entered all three in a matter of seconds, pressed next and was told my product key was valid. :help: |

| 497930 | 2006-11-10 10:58:00 | I guess this wonderful tradition will die out with vista if the rumours are true "Windows XP is over 50 times more reliable than any previous version" Yeah, Right. 50 times better than ME was no hard trick, but XP was a bit dodgy up to SP2 in my experience. at the moment, XP runs more stably than any other MS product I've used. I expect Vista to be pretty flaky for a while too, maybe in 18 months or so it'll be worth a trial run. I don't fancy telling some camel driver that I am not trying to install it on a new machine, it is just a case of needing a new validation code because I have a new video card and windows crashed. I am unenthusiastic about telling their foreign helpdesk how to spell "excerable" again. They never get it right. |

I still have SP1 and have only had 1 not crash, but sort of, since I installed it . And thats what Ghost is for . |
