| 498903 | 2006-11-18 01:17:00 | Yes,do you think that tells us the facts? no, look, i was asking if you infact had a reliable source (although it is always possible your original statement was a random speculation) i didnt give any source as i didnt give any info - i was questioning your statement which is without a source also, not that it matters: i would expect the number of people on sickness benefits to have increased at the same rate as our population has been, so i was asking if your statement "there are more sickness beneficiaries than there ever were" was considering that fact. i do agree that "there are a lot of single mothers who choose the life as a profession" - even if the term "a lot" can be very subjective |

| 498905 | 2006-11-18 09:54:00 | Hmmmm wouldn't it be truly horrible to blame such terrible things in our world/country/neighborhood on beneficiaries single mums poor people, blah blah blah. Wouldn't it be truly horrible to blame such things on parents and once again not look at the choices that are made by said individuals. There are a lot of parents single or not who have no money, have to be on the benefit for what ever reason but who's children grow up to be healthy and happy. I think older children/teens have a choice. Perhaps they grow up in crap holes with gang member family's but some of those children make the choice to learn from the mistakes of their parents and lead different lives. I know that there are many difficult life stories out there because most of all of us have lived it but can you honestly tell me that your parents made you exactly the way you are today. Has anyone out there had a parent who had to go on the doll etc for a while? Anyone who had a parent or family member involved with drugs/alcohol? Why is it that its so easy for us to blame the parents of others but when it comes to our own lives we see not clearly at all. I'm not pointing any fingers but to point out that this is another thread that has ended up blaming society and the poor and single moms blah blah blah when in my opinion that s**t of a child and those s**ty gang members are wholly to blame for the choices they made when they made them, or for not having the balls to stand on their own 2 feet and just walk away from doing something as disgusting as they did. personally i think its screwing up the world today because children are being told/have been taught that they are not responsible for what they do. Just a reminder .... Rich people are also involved in crime. Rich people are single mums. Rich people can sometimes be on the doll/benefit. Rich people can be involved in gangs. Rich people can be crappy parents too. |
