2008-11-05 04:32:00 | XP. Vista is less customisable and can't run some of the software that I need. I find the opposite to be true - Vista is far more customisable than XP. Look at the colour options for Aero alone - several preset ones, and a colour mixer!

2008-11-05 04:50:00 | There's more to customisation than colours. For example, I believe that the toolbars in Internet Explorer no longer have the option to rearrange buttons. | Nermal (7077) | |
2008-11-05 04:51:00 | But no one would use IE anyway. :p Oh, wait.

2008-11-05 05:40:00 | I've won a copy of Vista Ultimate in a competition I sold a gaming PC to a guy not long ago. Well most of it, it was an upgrade system, he had XP, which was installed initially. Then he won Vista Ultimate too not long after and installed it. He asked me and I said if it was me I'd do it with Vlite. He did it as is and without XP too. He came back yesterday to ask me about dualbooting - when I asked why, he said his games ran better with XP. Anyway he's going to wait and see if Win 7 (or 9, or 16 or whatever it really is) is better.

2008-11-05 05:47:00 | I'd do it with Vlite. ...and Vlite seems to be from a different company than Microsoft. Thanks pctec, will certainly look at using it. Suggestion gratefully received. Misty :)

2008-11-06 02:44:00 | Well for me, Vista has never given me any troubles at all, just like XP. But Vista seems to be fancier... | EviLClouD (12981) | |
2008-11-06 02:53:00 | .... Look at the colour options for Aero alone - several preset ones, and a colour mixer! I cant get my head around peoples fascination (obsession) with fancy looking desktops (I dont mean pcuserwinvista, just some others I know) If you can see the desktop, then you probhably arnt using the PC.:banana If you really want speed, then a P166 Win95 Office95 (& a FULL 256M ram) is faster than many XP PC's. Office95 will still do more than many can make use of. Just no USB/(AGP?) support.
