| 717410 | 2008-11-04 22:45:00 | I know I don't have the right driver. When I first got this printer 2 years ago, the driver was automatically loaded when I hooked it up. After a while I realized there was no option for duplex. I went to HP.com and found a driver for the 2200D and immediately there was a duplex. There was a second 2200 printer available to me when I did this. When I deleted the original one that did not duplex, my computer immediately, "found new hardware" and reinstalled the all purpose driver. I just stoped using it. So I know I need a very specific driver for the 2200D printer. Since that driver should be available on my copy of the old C: drive, I want to know if I can switch it over to my internal C: drive? |

It sounds like you are using the built-in standard Windows XP driver that ships with windows. I'm sure if you download and install the drivers from the HP site you will get the duplex option as everyone else has said. Edit: I just installed the standard Windows XP driver (I did not download the HP one) for the 'HP LaserJet 2200 Series PCL' If you go into the properties of the printer and go to the Device Settings tab you should see, under the Installed Options section, the Duplex Unit (for 2 sided printing) - Change the drop-down box to installed and click Apply |
