| 717369 | 2008-11-05 11:21:00 | Are you using different cds like not just one try other cds in the drive and see if they work I have tried several different disks, and seem to get completely random results. The other day when I encountered the problem, I tried taking out the disk that I had in and putting another one in. The drive successfully recognized the new disk, and when I then swapped it back to the previous disk, it ran that one okay too. But yesterday when I tried the same trick, I had no luck with any disk and had to reboot Windows to get it working again. It's strange, I know, but that's what's been happening. Sometimes I wonder if my computer's possessed by some devilish spirit of it's own. It certainly doesn't act like a machine should sometimes. |
