499230 2006-11-16 03:36:00 So...lots of the hits on that count-em-up thread of yours aren't actually flesh & blood, Joe. Thy're robots.

In my mental picture they look rather like huhu grubs.
How do others see them?

All fair I think....

Huhu's here in the US are ...er...chest monkeys; wobblers; ta-ta's; love handles...OK?

Hu-hu grubs paints a really awkward mental picture too.

I found that very funny coming from a gurl!

499232 2006-11-16 06:17:00 Isn't language interesting...

Huhu is a Maori word.
The grubs are large & white (and succulent, for those brave enough to eat them. Live, of course) and found in the rotting wood of our native trees.

With luck, someone with time tonight might post a pic..?

499234 2006-11-16 10:10:00 Is that an offer? Laura (43)

You posted at 02:10, my time . . . that's AM . . . so I missed the snappy timing of an answer .

Far be it from me to post pictures of one or the other . . . and anyway, I've never seen the one you mentioned (the grub-type) .

Having seen a few sets of these [ (x)(x) ] over the years, maybe now is the right time to see the other type of Hu-hu's .

I await . . . . . . . . seeking illumination . :stare:

I find them all the time when chopping firewood for the barbie at the bach up north. Never been game to throw one on for a quick grill and snack though. Like most odd foods, they probbaly taste like chicken .....
