| 499091 | 2006-11-15 01:09:00 | Probably just needed a guy to get up on the roof and and turn the antenna a bit :D But seriously... what a stuff-up. "Oops, it was supposed to be vertical instead of horizontal, I should have read the instruction manual before I sent it off into space." |

From what I can make out they've jimmied up a solution so that Sky can still broadcast while they try and fix the new high capacity link with all that lovely extra bandwidth. So yes, the D1 is working, but not how it's supposed to. |

| 499094 | 2006-11-16 01:21:00 | i just found out through google news optus pay tv customers in aussie are receiving new zealand pay tv channels cuz skytv is using the same beam as optus. | lance4k (4644) | ||
| 499095 | 2006-11-16 09:20:00 | Where is this news article i cant seem to find even after visiting google news. | Hitech (9024) | ||
| 499096 | 2006-11-16 09:30:00 | SO if new zealand is supplying sky tvs service to ozzie then how will they manage to get freeview up and running off this same satellite as they are talking about. | Hitech (9024) | ||
| 499097 | 2006-11-16 11:09:00 | ..Use the Optus D2 when it's launched sometime next year, though i dont know the specifications of the sat and whether its suitable for digital | jermsie (6820) | ||
| 499098 | 2006-11-17 23:22:00 | Obviously the optus B1 satellite was near death since D1 went into action this week i have been stunned as to how very very clear and sharp the picture is through sky, It just goes to show how clear you can get your picture when sky decide to spend a bit of money instead of telling us oh it must be your set. | Hitech (9024) | ||

Sounds a bit like Telecom doesnt it. Im interested in how much clearer it would be? We dont have sky, but ive seen the quality before. Wasnt that hot then. |
