497948 2006-11-10 07:42:00 Just a shot in the dark here - would bridging the phoneline with a small cap help? Would an electrolytic cap be fast enough? Erayd (23)
497949 2006-11-10 07:59:00 But my lines aren't lousy. They're good.
Therefore they are too good.
Supposedly. Thats just their new spin anyway.

I do have some old bells I could put on it but why bother, my neighbour has some on hers and her lines are brilliant too.

497950 2006-11-10 09:34:00 What modem have you got? You once said you were getting 4288K as a download line speed. Don't you have all the tests that you did then?
Low SNR seems odd for a short line. Telecom used to have some suitable noise test gear bought in the days when Rail were electrifying the North Island main trunk.
I doubt that anyone on faults now would have anything special in the way of test gear.

Speedtouch 510.
No never said I was getting 4288.
I used to get a perfect 2Mbps before they bumped it up to 3.5.
Neighbours routers reported 4288 but still only managed 600k ish.

497952 2006-11-10 22:08:00 What question?
Anyway, my router reports 4288. Haha, it wishes...

Maybe wishful thinking abounds
