2008-11-05 02:41:00 | My computers been acting VERY strange the past few weeks. Freezes a lot, warnings that I know arent right popping up [can't open program, close some open applications, yet nothing is opened. Blue screen for no apparent reason. Since I've been in PC world its asked for me to sign in 3 times after I was signed in. Anyway, I tried to run HJT and got an error 50003 'unexpeced error'. So I downloaded HJT again and got the same error so I can't even post a log until thats resolved. Anyone have ant idea whats going on? I scanned with Panda and Superspyware and only found a few tracking cookies. Thanks in advance. Also, this is the second time I'm trying to post on here. My last attempt a few minutes ago didnt work. As soon as I hit submit I was told I have to sign in and I already was. HELP

2008-11-05 02:48:00 | Get malwarebytes and trojan remover below. If you can. Update both then scan Then select options under utilities in trojan remover WHAT does the BSOD say?? Does it say the name of a file/driver? Direct link for trojan remover (www.simplysup.com) Direct link for Malwarebytes (dw.com.com fb35%26part%3Ddl-10804572) I would disable system restore, if youre using XP, then reboot for now

2008-11-05 18:09:00 | The trojan remover found nothing, I couldn't download the malware remover, it said its for winNT or higher, I have ME. I tried downloading HJT again but when I tried to open it I got an 'unexpected error' message. Last night when I tried to shut down I got a small warning window with the MS flag in one corner followed by HJT saying 'can't quit'. Is there any other malware you know of thats any good that'll work on ME? Thank you | stephan08611 (10225) | |

2008-11-06 02:50:00 | I downloaded a program called a-squared for malware and it found nothing. I then downloaded your suggestion, Spyware Terminator and it found 3 objects but the highest threat level was only 3. After deleting them I was still getting the BSOD with the following errors: OE: 017f :bff9b3d4 VWIN32[05] 000020b4 error: 0028co2a4280 VWIN32 [05] 0000206e error: oe 0028: 002a4246 VWIN {05} 000020b4 error oe: 0028 co2a428c I then ran across this link www.burzurq.com for winme setting and did what I could, some things he said weren't available but something good happened. My computers running really well, no more BSOD [yet, anyway and its been awhile] except for the fact I still can't open HJT, it says 'unexpected error'. Thats the issue I need help with. And thanks again

2008-11-06 03:05:00 | What hardware is in the case?? This VWIN32 [05] 0000206e may have something to do with hardware Did you install any hardware recently? Try booting into safe mode, then go to device manager. See if anything installed is in there twice, or look for anything thats got a ! beside it, or X, or ? Delete them, then reboot

2008-11-07 00:19:00 | I posted this earlier but I don't see it here so God only knows what happened. Anyway, there was nothing in Device Manager with those suffixes but mucho multiples. Since I know nothing about controllers etc. I'm a tad leery to delete anything without your [or someones] OK. Heres the list: DISK DRIVERS: Quan: 2- Generic IDE DISK TYPE01 DISPLAY ADAPTERS: 2- Intel[r]82810 Graphic controller 2- Intel[r]82810E " " HARDWARE CONTROLLERS: 1- Intel 82801AA Bus Master IDE controller 1- Intel 82801AB " " " " [don't know if I need both] 2- Primary IDE controller [dual fifo] 2- Secondary IDE controller [dual fifo] MOUSE: 2- PS/2 Compatible mouse port PCMCIA: 2- Texas instrument PCI-1420 CardBus controller PORTS: 2- Printer Port [LPT1} SOUND, VIDEO, GAME CONTROLLERS: 2- Microsoft Streaming Tee/sink-to-sink converter 2- MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device SYSTEM DEVICES: 4- ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Streaming 1 each- Intel82801AA and Intel 82801AB Interface controller PCI bridge SMBus controller [same 3 entries for both] 2- Motherboard Resources UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS: 1 each- Intel[r]82001AA and Intel[r]82001AB USB Universal host controller 2- USB Root hub For the singles entries of different versions of the Intel items, Belarc Advisor only lists the AA version, if that means anything. Thank in advance again. My computers really running a lot better but I do need the HJT to open.

2008-11-07 00:30:00 | Are you running spybot?? If you are, disable teatimer . This maybe causing that error 50003 unexpected error Then try and run HJT again

2008-11-08 17:34:00 | I don't have TeaTimer, I understood there were issues with it. I gave up and reformatted after running 7-8 different AV programs. I came across something called a-squared Hijack and ran that. It found 14 different Trojans, spyware etc. It said it dosent remove them, just finds them and to run a-squared Spyware remover to delete the entries. I ran it just prior to the Hijack program and it didn't find anything. I reformatted and am in the process of updating everything. Thanks to you all for trying, whatever I had was a beauty. | stephan08611 (10225) | |
2008-11-08 18:20:00 | Good to hear you managed to fix it anyway, by reformatting. That was probably the only other option left, to make it usable
