However, I recently had two ASUS mobos arrive and be DOA. See this thread (www.pressf1.co.nz). The third was OK though. |

| 718223 | 2008-11-14 01:24:00 | I would change mobos if I had the money. I went back and got a refund for the CPU, took me like 30 mins to an hr, to try to convince them, that I wasnt to blame for it lol. And there was no point in keeping the AMD CPU, if I had no mobo In the end, I told the shop to ring the other shop (who killed the mobo), what happened. It sounds like the CPU is still OK. But they only gave me 79 for it, (retail is like 110, without GST. I paid $135) So, at least I got something back. I wasnt going to leave without getting a refund from someone And this bloody monitor, here's a pic of the Power PCB (www.imagef1.net.nz) Think I may get a replacement. Been in contact with DSE. According to them, its about $42 (hopefully with everything on it). BUT, they'll have to send one from Manukau to Wyndham St, so I can pick it up Doesnt look too hard to replace. IUf the monitor still doesnt go, I'll replace the other PCB for $47 |
