Cant even do something bold and classy when it comes to providing a sporting facility. Forever squabbling over your preeeciouuuuus views and tax rates being bumped up.

Eden park suits you Kiwis :-P.....Yeah no need to build a new waterfront stadium when a third world park park right in the middle of some houses will do the job. Just get some paint and put few more of those plastic chairs from the warehouse and that should do it for NZ's standard

Even better keep debating which stadium is better until 2011 and we will gladly host Rugby World cup 2011 for you. Now that really will even save some more dollars...Hack you guys wont even need to spend any of your money at all!!!! What a great savings idea init??

I lived in Australia for some 12 years and that was about 11 years and nine months too long. I have thought that some of our population could not get a decent debate together but this post takes the cake.

Personally, I thought for all people that actually want to watch this spectacle then the lead ups could be held in New Zealand with smaller or existant Stadiums followed by a final in Australia.

For the amount of money it would cost to build a new stadium in New Zealand we could fly all our supporters to Australia. That would save you the fare getting here would it not.

Which basically says that whatever NZ's stadium dilemna, we've still got the world's best rugby team and all Australia can do is rank a lousy fourth, behind... wait for it... the frogs and Ireland! So remind me... who sucks?

Muahahahahahaha

Sadly we can't make our minds up regarding a waterfront structure.

Over there in Australia you had similar problems regarding a waterfront structure a while back.

From conception to opening took from the late 1940's to 1973

www.deh.gov.au

Now I'm the first to admit the Sydney Opera House is a great structure. I have been in there.

21 years to build it though.

Don't really think that our waterfront stadium would be built any quicker if it should be there in the first place.

In Sydney you have a population of around 4 million ( excluding sheep ) :yuck:

This is also the entire population of NZ.

If you happen to live in Perth then a flight to Sydney would cost you $708 and be between 4:05 Hours to 4:25 Hours

There are no direct flights from Invercargill to Auckland but the price is half and the time around the same.
