718898 2008-11-21 21:59:00 AOC is ok, they do have a 3yr warranty.
And its cheap.

Chi Mei/Polyview/CMV have a 3 year warranty as well. I wouldn't touch those.

718899 2008-11-21 22:14:00 I've got a 17" and 19" widescreen chimei and they both look great after about a year and a half, they are used all day in office enviroment!
I've got a AOC 1650*1050 22" for gaming, had it for a year and that looks mint haven't had any problems with either brand.

718900 2008-11-22 00:41:00 Just out of interest for those on a tight budget and not needing the best monitor in the world there have been some 17" LCD's on trademe lately for under $100 I bought one for my workshop gary67 (56)
718901 2008-11-22 06:12:00 I don't know how flexible your tight budget is, but I've just bought an LG W2252TQ 22" LCD, and it's excellent. It was about $370, but definitely worth it, upgrading from a 19" AOC CRT (that lasted about 4 years). Atomic magazine rated the LG 96%, and I'm inclined to agree. Lizard (2409)

Yes but I said AOC is OK.
