Gameplanet and The Gamesman both have it listed at that price.....There is also a model with a smaller HD that may be made available at $999. |

I worked out that with a 40-inch X series Bravia, I could fly to Australia, buy one there, have it shipped to New Zealand and pay the necessary taxes and still save money compared with buying it in New Zealand (not to mention the model they have there is a higher end model - integrated HD digital tuner, PCMCIA slot etc). And yes, I realise we are a smaller market and on the bottem of the world but If i can purchase one item from a retailer in the US and get it sent all the way around the world and dropped off at my door for $100 less then what they are listed at a major NZ retailer then someone has arse-jacked the prices. Ah, but think of the superlative and specialised service that NL's highly qualified staff are able to offer you. Those sort of people are hard to find :yuck: |

But then this is just gossip so far. PS2's are presently under $199.00 at most places.....whether or not the PS3 release will bring this down further.....I don't know. But it's unlikely to be before Xmas.....you might be better waiting for the new years sales????? I know I am :thumbs: T |
