| 718948 | 2008-11-08 21:28:00 | Hi I am thinking to move up to vista ultimate version. i am currently on windows xp pro sp3. though rather than clean install i am thinknig of doing an upgrade. has anyone done upgrade here?. how did it go? |

| 718949 | 2008-11-08 21:38:00 | For an upgrade to work correctly the XP HAS to be solid, bit like the foundations on a house, if the XP is shaky or damaged in any way Vista will be as well. Some versions of Vista Dont allow upgrades, the only option is a complete install. From memory its only the full retail versions or upgrade versions that have the upgrade option. Even MS recommend doing a clean install rather than an upgrade. |
