| 718880 | 2008-11-08 14:30:00 | on my pc iv got a mesege saying <windows root>\system32\hal.dll. what can i do to fix it .im useing windows 2000 .i carnt get anythin up on my screen apart from the part where it says there is an error in a file or somthing and it says install your windows disc and i dont have my windows disc,ive lost it .iv asked my friends and thay lost ther cd what can i do. | william12H (14291) | ||

I have a feeling this error message can come up when there is a problem in the boot.ini file. Have you been playing with that? Quite likely there is nothing wrong with the hal.dll file. |
