718453 2008-11-07 08:42:00 Hi Folks. Using Windows Mail and Adobe Reader vers. 9. Any PDF file saved to an appropriate folder readily opens with Reader9. I have previously set the "Open With" dialogue box to ensure that this happens.
However, when I click on any PDF attachment to an incoming email, to open the file directly, I get a reponse "File does not have a program associated for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Association control panel".
This last direction has me lost........ It does not appear to be linked to the "Open With" box previously mentioned. Any help? Thanks.

If vista follow these instrunctions:
Go to control panel>Click Default Programs>Click Associate a file type or protocol with a program>scroll down to .pdf>Click it and click change program..>Select Adobe Reader 9

Good Luck:D

718455 2008-11-07 08:55:00 Some files do seem to not like opening from attachments.

Try the free Foxit Reader (www.foxitsoftware.com) - changed to that years ago and never had a problem with any PDF opening from mail
