| 718443 | 2008-11-07 05:51:00 | Laptop is a subnotebook P3 600Mhz, 320MB (max) RAM . Running Win2k . It is v stable . I have uninstalled Spybot, AVG and other things I don't use like Config Manager that was factory installed and things like that . It is quite a bit quicker . Does AVG take up a lot of resources? I still have a old version of Zonealarm running . Spybot I can just do a scan via network when I can . . Virus scanner - what should I do here? Do I need a real time virus scanner? Since in due time I hope to build my own PC . When I need the portable laptop, is a 1Ghz 1 . 5GB Ram Max subnotebook a decent upgrade from what I have now or maybe not worth my bother? Since I am getting a PC, I won't be using the laptop much apart from travelling and going to my photography club and sharing etc . . Win2k or WinXP? Cheers |

| 718444 | 2008-11-07 05:54:00 | I checked task manager and firefox version 3.0 is taking up to / over 90MB. So .. I have IE 6.0. Should I go back to IE? |

It's worth having more memory spent for safer browsing :D As for your other PC... probably not worth doing if performance is ok after what I suggested above. |
