2006-11-24 19:00:00 | The US is getting close to one of it's greatest sponsered events of the calendar year . . . The Super Bowl . . . . (I forget which number this one is but they write it in Roman Numerals like "XXDLMIV" or something like that . ) Anyway, the biggest part of the game (football to us) is the commercials that sponsers pay huge amounts for airtime . It costs over $2 . 4 Million USD in the 2005 Super Bowl for a 30-second ad placement . . . who knows where it will go this year . . . . . . Biggest advertisers are religiously, Fed-Ex, Budweiser Beer, Mountain Dew, Geico (an insurance company), Go-Daddy . com, and Ford or Chevrolet . Some have been outright banned from public viewing . Now . . . to get youse guys heated up for the next slew of commercials, here's a couple from last year to view . . . . . 1) :nerd: ( . youtube . com/watch?v=1oybIn4FEYM&mode=related&search=" target="_blank">www . youtube . com) 2) :) ([URL=" . youtube . com/watch?v=KYmmsj42ANQ&mode=related&search=" target="_blank">www . youtube . com) 3) ( . youtube . com/watch?v=148dowDhkVY&mode=related&search=" target="_blank">www . youtube . com) 4) ( . youtube . com/watch?v=u3-tuiD2FQo&NR" target="_blank">www . youtube . com)

2006-11-24 23:02:00 | More to the point Joe, whose going to be in the final. This weekends game between the Bears and the Patriots should provide a pointer but the Ravens and Colts plus a few others might be in the frame. | Dally (6292) | |
2006-11-25 03:15:00 | ROFL @ the 4th one but yes it looks as though the bears shall be the nfc team to beat, and if the colts manage to actually perform post season Peyton may finally get the ring he so desperately wants :p

2006-11-25 03:55:00 | Hi Joe. What is the date for the next one in MMVII?? It used to fall on Auckland anniversary day so used to get to watch it live. However it seemed to have moved a week earlier recently

2006-11-25 04:56:00 | It'll be New Year's Day...unless they moved the day and didn't tell me...but they never tell me anything....:angry Just remember that our day is 21 hours later than yours....any questions go to the post (that's probably around 10 gazillion by now and I'll never catch it!) by Beetle about something along the lines of a party and see the intricate computations involved in getting SurferJoe in SoCal into the chat room last night...lol At the sound of the smashing glass, [ :badpc: ] the time is: 20:48, Thursday, the 24th of the year 2006, I think the year's right anyway.

2006-11-26 01:28:00 | And will they provide a voluptuous singer to fall out of her cleavage this year? | Graham L (2) | |
2006-11-26 01:42:00 | Graham . . . I'd get thee to an optometrist if I wuz you . . . Janet Jackson is NOT voluptuous . . . not by a long shot (no pun intended) . . . In fact, I think she and Michael are the same person anyway . . . Have you ever seen them together? Nope! Only one-by-one . There might've been a problem with the 120/240 volt convergance though . . . I hear it happens . . . "Objects normally shown at 120 volts will appear larger at higher voltages"

2006-11-27 06:18:00 | Well it least you guys didn't call it the "World series Superbowl" like you did baseball when you are the only ones that play lol (oh sorry and Canada). When you guys are ready to play a mans game, take off those girly helmets and shoulder pads and play rugby, then you can join in the fun of playing actual other countries in a real world series!! PS Football is soccer FOOT BALL get it FOOT BALL. You don't hold onto a ball in FOOT BALL.

Something about a world war interupting the series at a most opportune time. It was our lot who took it off 'em about 19 years ago though :D PS Football is soccer FOOT BALL get it FOOT BALL. You don't hold onto a ball in FOOT BALL.With training, exercise, and good food some of the soccer players could learn though. Admittedly, not very many.:horrified Hmmm., with a Brazilian wife and stepson, this may be my "last post". |
