719867 2008-11-13 03:31:00 I don't see many complaints about MacBooks?!:D A few months ago I had 3 call s in one week with People wanting MAC's repaired, I put them onto 2 different repairers in WGTN - one person rang me back and started abusing me for giving out the number  I rang the MAC repair place to see what was going on and was told they are taking NO more customers as they are over run with repairs and couldn't keep up , there was a 4 week waiting list --- Hmmmm wainuitech (129)

719870 2008-11-13 04:07:00 Asus is probably a very reliable brand-but I favor toshiba's cause the asus notebooks are just plain ugly. Reliability and Build quality are important factors but styles important too:D

I reckon toshiba notebooks have better build quality and are more durable than asus notebooks though.

AND the only reason no one sees macbooks being taken to IT techs is cause there arent that many.

Isn't that obvious?:p

719871 2008-11-13 04:57:00 I thought it was the cost too as to why there are fewer macs gary67 (56)
719872 2008-11-13 05:21:00 I have Toshiba TE 2000, it is very good machine, old, upgraded from 98SE to XPpro, still going well, original battery lost a bit of capacity, can use it to watch DVD's on tv set, has always on video output, I like it very much. zqwerty (97)
719873 2008-11-13 05:27:00 You'll find that most of the techs and experienced users here will recommend Asus and Toshiba.

Most will also say "Stay away from Acer & Dell"

I would never recommend Toshiba - I find them worse than Dell
I like Asus and HP business notebooks, but HP warranties suck - they waste your time something chronic.
