501593 2006-11-26 02:57:00 Still, it's a pain, isn't it? I don't think I would have mind if they were as honest as Xtra. Provided I could reach them on the phone in within 5 minutes max.:( Contract problem. Wonder how long is the notice before informing them.
:D I want to move to Xtra now with Unlimited Data like the first time ever in NZ. I used to be on Xtra like overuse its usage until almost double then slow down but it was quite expensive that time. :annoyed: My parents though it was too expensive that's the time we moved to ihug. Looks like I never want to change ISP now.

501594 2006-11-26 04:16:00 I wonder how many people actually send back their free modem. If it's given free they cannot charge you for it, even if you terminate early. It's FREE.

Otherwise it's not "free" and the Fair Trading Act comes into effect...

Funny thing is, yes, the modem is supposed to be free. However, the modem they first gave me, a DSL-200, was apparently having problems connecting to the ihug server. So, they gave me a new DSL-502T. I don't know who is supposed to have what, but I was already tired to fight over the ownership of the modem.

Hey bros! :p . I'm currently with Ihug . I wonder how much cancellation notice I have to give them . I want to move to Xtra cause of there "all you can eat" plan . In fact,I used to be with Xtra but I hammered it heaps and used double my allowance, and so they throttled my connection . Man!,that was heaps expensive! . My parents threw a *spaz* and they shifted to Ihug . Once we're back on Xtra, hopefully my parents won't change ISP's again . :D

501600 2006-11-26 22:01:00 Im curious as to why people like pctek think that as soon as you say P2P you ONLY download cracked software, movies, albums etc; and are therefore a pirate.
Last month I downloaded the entire series of CSI Series 6 (I missed it due to working nights) which was 4.3 GB iirc... does that make me a pirate too?

If I get my ISP issues taken care of soon, I will download series 7, then I might get the latest series that just showed in NZ of Monster Garage, and a few other programmes (Scrapheap Challenge, Top Gear. & one or 2 others)... all these for my own viewing and all missed due to working nights... oh bad me, I must be a pirate :p

That's right. There are legal (torrentfreak.com) downloads available via torrents too.
