| 501938 | 2006-11-27 03:26:00 | I think you find it difficult to follow my humour sometimes Cic. I was brought up on Chums Annual (where there were stories of the Asian hordes trying to take over the world,eg 'The Red Deluge' by Capt. Frank Shaw, and every true upright British boy led with a straight left against knife-wielding untrustworthy dagos and chinks, and SOE stood for Sons Of The Empire), and the school atlas showed 2/3 of the world coloured pink. (Oh, that nasty colour :) ) |

| 501940 | 2006-11-27 06:50:00 | 20 more police flying to Tonga to relieve military WHY???????? It's none of our business. If the Tongans want to rid themselves of opressive rulers , let them. Why must we always sticking our noses in other countries affairs? Fiji,Tonga, Agghanistan, Soloman Islands and god knows where else. We haven't enough police to maintain law and order in this country. I was quietly hoping that a Tongan would wipe out our air force with one shot when it tried to land. So Jack. Do you believe in charity? I'm a firm believer that charity begins at home and if you can't help yourself then you can't help others. I agree that we can't help ourselves when it comes to lack of police numbers in New Zealand. However, if we all had your attitude, I guess we may be speaking German or Japanese by now. As a country we butted in during World war 1 and 2. We butted in during the Boer war, Malaysia, Korea etc. It comes down to whether you have the means and opportunity and possibly motive. I wasn't under the impression that we were invading a country by sending police or troops but rather help the recognised government or whatever regime to stay in power. Some people in Tonga would like a democratic system. I would not say all of the people. Assuming that we, as a country, have a so called democratic system I don't believe that we can impose our system on others as you say. If you were at home and you saw your next door neighbour fall over clutching their chest would you phone an ambulance for them? That may be considered butting in. I am beginning to think that you think Saddam Hussien, Adolf Hitler, Stalin etc are all good people. www.arthuredelstein.org Go bomb one of these with FightSimX. Except we should not butt in should we? |

| 501941 | 2006-11-27 07:12:00 | Do I detect a hint of being ashamed of belonging to the white race? (When the white man rides every native hides in glee,)this riding referred to here,is the energy required to produce what the natives covet. Do read the book,I am sure you can fit your views into to his,so to speak. For some reason I live with the forlorn hope the likes of you will see the light of day,but I fear it is forlorn indeed. Have a read of Wilbur Smith. "The Triumph of the Sun." I read it a few years ago and over the last few days re-read it. It appears to me that most wars are for Religion, Territory, Ideology or Tribal. l |

The bad dudes have black hats for a start, also, they is all "them" who is not "us". Not only that, they threaten our vintage aerial fleet with excess wearing out. By the way, the Air Force was not totally unable to defend itself, they had both rifles, and all 10 rounds of ammunition left over from WW I. |
