| 719290 | 2008-11-10 22:04:00 | I have a domain name email address through ihug. As of about three days ago I have suddenly been unable to send emails through an Xtra connection I have. The error message is: Sending and Receiving reported error (0x800ccc0f): 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). Recieving emails is fine and I know the Email Account settings are configured correctly because I am still able to send/receive with no problems on another Xtra connection I have access to and also on a Vodafone connection. The wireless router on the Xtra connection (causing the problems) was recently reset when we had a power cut and I think this has triggered the problem. The Xtra connection is still showng as being opted out of the Port 25 blocking thing which caused me a few headaches when I set everything up a few months back so I don't know what the problem is. Any help will be much appreciated? |

| 719292 | 2008-11-10 22:24:00 | Sorry you've misunderstood . I am using Xtra as my ISP to pick up my ihug (vodafone) email (through Outlook) . This was working fine until a couple of days ago (when the router was reset) and continues to work fine on another Xtra ISP connection I have . I am operating on a laptop using different ISP's depending on my location . |

| 719294 | 2008-11-10 22:57:00 | Thanks but I am currently on an Xtra ISP connection and pop and smtp settings are pop.ihug.co.nz and smtp.ihug.co.nz and everything is working fine. It is just on another Xtra ISP connection I have that is causing problems. The settings don't change depending on what ISP I am connected to and I use these same settings with many ISP's around the world without problem when I am travelling. |

Any help will be much appreciated? Contact Vodafone, as they 'should' know what to do, as you have to get the domain based email address authenticated by Telecom . |

That page you refer to is out of date. I check my @xtra.co.nz email addresses using Xnet as my ISP. |

| 719299 | 2008-11-11 00:11:00 | Thanks robbyp except I don't believe it is an issue with Vodafone as it is working fine on other Xtra ISP connections I have access to. It is just one Xtra ISP connection I often use that is no longer working and unfortunately I am not on the account so it is going to be a real hassle getting some answers out of Xtra... I am no expert on the matter but one thing I would suggest to Globe1 is to try unsubscribing to Port 25 filtering on any Xtra connections you want to use to send emails from other providers on. There is no downside that I have seen and apparantly Xtra is the only ISP that does it in NZ. See the following link for more info and it certainly alowed me to send emails no problem through Xtra. telecom.custhelp.com 3Jvd19jbnQ9NDEmcF9wcm9kcz0yMDImcF9jYXRzPSZwX3B2PSZ wX2N2PSZwX3BhZ2U9MSZwX3NlYXJjaF90ZXh0PVBvcnQgMjUgZ mlsdGVy&p_li=&p_topview=1&p_prods=202 |
