| 720113 | 2008-11-14 01:26:00 | Hi Everyone, I'm new but I've been browsing this forum and it has been very informative/helpful in the past. Anyhow, I need the assistance of Excel experts please. Here's the problem I'm encountering. Basically, I'm running a report and I have several blank cells that I need to populate with data from the previous cell. I tried recording a macro but I could never get it to work (data looks like this). A B 1 Name Code 2 John 1 3 1 4 Jane 2 5 Jody 3 6 3 7 3 8 Juan 4 Want to be able to create a macro or manipulate the VB script to makes the data appear like this: A B 1 Name Code 2 John 1 3 John 1 4 Jane 2 5 Jody 3 6 Jody 3 7 Jody 3 8 Juan 4 Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!!!! BTW - I'm using Excel 2000 so precise procedures or sample VB code would be helpful. |
