| 720097 | 2008-11-13 22:37:00 | Hey, Last week I decided I wanted the ga-ex38-ds4 motherboard and was all happy and went to get it yesterday and turns out New Zealand has sold out of them!!! And gigabyte no longer makes them. I can get the 'x38' version but its not as good. So what other motherboard do you recommend I get? For about $300-$350. I would like the x38/x48 chipset, preferably x38. Not too fussed if its asus or gigabyte. DDR2 support, LGA775. Motherboards that you've had good personal experiences with will be top of my list. Thanks, Gregor |

Well I rang the cheap 3, the ones that are charging about $370 is a bit much I think. Was thinking of going with the ga-x48-ds5 from pb tech yeah but I'm just not sure so wanted to see what others recommended! Cool, thanks for all the input! |

| 720104 | 2008-11-14 07:53:00 | DDR2 performs as close to DDR3 as to not really make that much difference at the moment. If you have the option to go for one or the other, then DDR3 is good, but if you're budget conscious then you may want to stick with DDR2. |

| 720105 | 2008-11-14 09:30:00 | I will stick with DDR2, DDR3 isn't that much better for how much more it costs. Not worth the extra $$$ imo. Rather spend it on getting a better gpu etc... | WarNox (8772) | ||
