503069 2006-11-29 20:40:00 It recommends you use IE Tab, i.e. you run IE within Firefox.

see details here (www.ripitdownloads.com)

Haha, just discovered it is not compatible with IE7 and gives the same error as above.

See site here (http://www.ripit.co.nz)

503070 2006-11-29 20:57:00 oops. I think is was a cached page on my proxy re: IE7 Cleared the cache and it worked. KiwiTT_NZ (233)
503071 2006-11-29 23:30:00 That's actually pretty unacceptable for any major site these days, noting the market share that Firefox is getting. IETab is NOT firefox - it's just the IE rendering engine called from within Firefox. This has the obvious downside of not working in Linux.

Plus it makes about 20% (guessing here) of their potential customers jump through hoops just to see the site. Not a good look - they'd be much better off simply writing a site that was FF compatible.

503072 2006-11-29 23:37:00 Yeah it does, you just have to use that IE extension.

it does NOT work with Mozilla.
Probably not with Opera either.

I boycott any site that forces IE on me.

503073 2006-11-30 00:01:00 It is nearly the same message that crappy cokefridge site used to give. F1x5 (11523)

503075 2006-11-30 03:38:00 What a dog!

I went there using f/fox and it said bla bla... "you can use f/fox, click here for details" Of course I had to reload page in IE tab so that I could get to the page that tells you to install IEtab. Duh.

Haven't laughed so much in days. God, I hope someone gets sacked from the web design/marketing company that did that one.

503076 2006-11-30 04:03:00 doesn't support the mac platform, which is a shame because I would have considered using it with their voucher system. plod (107)
503077 2006-11-30 04:47:00 Grrrr. It crashes IE halfway through the page load. Reliably.
