2006-11-29 11:53:00 | Hi, I am keen to find out what a shop on my bank statement that I spent $9.80 on a 3.31pm on Friday the 29th of September, then another $39.95 a minute later. This happened 12 minutes before I spent money at The Warehouse in Wellington (corner of Tory St and Cable St), which gives me a range of where in Wellington the place could be. All I can see is: 29 SEP 2006 POS W/D TWH 134 WELLI-15:44 $22.99 29 SEP 2006 POS W/D HBL 10 WELLIN-15:32 $39.95 29 SEP 2006 POS W/D HBL 10 WELLIN-15:31 $9.80 I'm more curious than anything, anyway, hopefully somebody here has spotted HBL 10 on their bank statement and knows what it was for...

2006-11-29 19:14:00 | I have a feeling that it's short for something like Hallensteins Bros ltd. It is a large 'chain store' (that's the store no.10). Sure you didn't buy some flash new clothes?

2006-11-29 21:51:00 | Flash clothes cost more than $9.80 :p, and yes, not then. Thanks, I'll call my bank. Google renders nothing. Edit: Kiwibank can't help unless I pay them $60 an hour for an investigation, but the Warehouse is ringing me back to say what I bought there, which might job my memory....

2006-11-29 22:29:00 | This is starting to sound like the old story about the TVNZ reporter returning from New Caledonia who submitted a receipt found somewhere supporting some outrageous expense claim not realising because it was in French that it was for an electrical appliance rather than lunch. | PaulD (232) | |
2006-11-29 22:38:00 | Lol, the slim distinction between electrical appliances and lunch is why smart people don't have to pay tax :D | george12 (7) | |
