| 720282 | 2008-11-16 03:12:00 | I have an A300 - VO1 and am more than happy with it. Twice the machine at half the cost of the HP one it replaced. Dick Smith has a special on that model for web orders at the moment. | CliveM (6007) | ||

I saw that DSE had that special but also heard the reason there's specials on Toshiba everywhere is that they're bringing out new models in the next couple of weeks so I guess we shall wait and see:) Few questions though, what's the battery life like on the A300 and how does the finish live up to everyday use? Cheers, Paul |

| 720284 | 2008-11-16 08:14:00 | I have had it about 10 days. Mostly run on AC so I am not to certain of battery life - about 3hrs or so. Finish does show finger prints but cleans off easily. I got this one now on the theory that with the dollar weakening and the economy not looking to bright as well as retailers getting a little desperate to generate sales at present that this was a good time to buy. Time will tell if I got that right. VO1 Toshiba is a new model better specs and a couple of $100 cheaper than previous one. As far as I can tell it doesn't matter much what you buy in the computer field it is out of date before you can get it from the shop to your car there is always something better just around the corner. | CliveM (6007) | ||
