| 720163 | 2008-11-14 10:22:00 | Aero's working. It only stopped once when I had deleted a display driver and before Windows had automatically downloaded it again. I wouldnt trust Microsoft's efforts at supplying the correct driver "automatically" (probable cause of the problem as they will download/install video and other drivers through Windows Update and stuff up your computer (which is probably why it "reset" itself after a couple of months) unless you stop it happening ( go to Control Panel>Security Center>Automatic Updating/ChangeSettings button>Let Me Choose and change the setting to 'Download but let me choose whether to install' or the line below it, click OK)) , more likely to get the correct driver if you do it yourself ;). Uninstall the old driver first. |

| 720165 | 2008-11-19 09:21:00 | Thanks for your help everyone. The computer guy came back and tried what you'd suggested and it didn't work. He eventually tried plugging something into another connection and now everything seems fine. Fingers crossed that it stays that way (and that his time is covered under warranty) Thanks again |
