| 503273 | 2006-11-30 14:32:00 | It is just a cycle that repeats until we run out of time, either by our own neglect (global warming etc) or if we are lucky 5 billion years when the Sun goes nova and no other cosmic mishaps (comets etc). The Universe also repeats but that won't do any of us any good. Best we can hope for is that we reach an "intelligence critical mass" and start to work together for a better life for all and manage our numbers better, but I don't have high hopes for that. Too many Stoics (~80%) and not enough Epicureans (~20%) always been that way, always will be, it's part of the Cosmic Joke, cue "maniacal hollow laughter". |

Also the backers of the coup attempt were never bought to justice and are behind the latest attempt to give themselves immunity. I actually think he is doing the right thing. Small societies are easily corrupted, and he seems to be working from principles. |
