| 502497 | 2006-11-27 22:39:00 | Well, we don't actually get older (viewed from personal level). School re-unions show a lot of people who defy this rule though. You actually attend school reunions??? Personally I can't be bothered :) - the people I want to stay in touch with, I stay in touch with. The rest I have already made a call and decided not to.... Why bother going back - if they weren't worth the effort over the years, why are they worth the effort now??? | johcar (6283) | ||
| 502498 | 2006-11-27 23:12:00 | Well, it had one benefit. All the fat ones were dead, and I was the heaviest survivor. Over the next 4 months I lost 25% of my re-union weight. Haven't been back in case the skinny ones start dropping. :D | R2x1 (4628) | ||

I had a triple bypass a couple of years ago (at age 44). No obvious cause, but changed my diet and lifestyle afterwards anyway. Took up cycling (did Round Taupo on Saturday), but still seem to be the same weight I was after coming out of hospital - about 8-10kg higher than I want, although I imagine some of that weight is now muscle mass... So there's apparently no easy answer to losing weight (if there was, I guess the world would be beating a path to your door - and it would be a very nice, expensive door, too)... |
