| 502068 | 2006-11-26 06:05:00 | Your hail got here 25 minutes ago, Pyropete - belting down suddenly with no warning.. Huge hailstones that turned the road outside my house completely white in just a few minutes. Those that hit me HURT. And it made a heckovadin on the roof. There are some battered-looking new shoots in my garden. And it stopped as quickly as it started. I see the weatherman is now forecasting snow for tomorrow.. |

| 502069 | 2006-11-26 06:51:00 | Hi Laura, The hail didn't actually get to Oamaru until about 5:30 tonight, and when it did, it was accompanied by lightning/thunder which just kept on going... haven't seen a thunderstorm like it since I lived in Palmerston North (which is where I am moving back to at the end of this year incidentally). As you said, the hail made the road white like it was snowing. Got a couple of photos but the batteries in the camera were going flat so only managed to get a few :annoyed: - they are here (www.imagef1.net.nz) and here (www.imagef1.net.nz) Lovely and fine here now - virtually not a cloud in the sky! Pete |

There seems to be some law (as one who has studied in depth the topic of the arrival of PC World) that Mainlanders will get it first . Again I am proved right ! As a Jaffa I have not got mine yet :illogical: Misty  |

As a Jaffa I have not got mine yet : Misty Too true. Yet there have been a couple of issues that have come very very early. And other issues have come very late (eg: november issue). One wonders whether the post system has somthing to do with it? |

| 502075 | 2006-11-27 05:41:00 | Hey all, Just received my latest PC World today (actually yesterday - too busy watching 24 to write earlier :D ). There is a competition in it on the last page where you can txt to win a surround sound system. I thought I would try it (I usually don't txt for things) so sent the txt away and got a reply - "The code you txted is not recognised by this service". I checked to make sure that I had the right code and correct number - all checked out fine. Anyone else tried this yet? Anyone get this to work, as i had the same problem on vodafone if it helps |
