| 719921 | 2008-11-13 00:57:00 | I'm doing a bit of research for a family member. Their business currently has a HP ML350 (h20000.www2.hp.com) G4P server (h20195.www2.hp.com), what they are wondering is if its possible to use the integrated SATA controller at the same time as having 6 SAS drives installed. Yes I know I could contact HP but I don't currently have the serial number of the server so they are refusing to help :(. Thanks |

The integrated controller will support both SCSI\SAS or SATA, however if all your bays are full where are you going to mount the disks? |

I guess I'll have to add a PCI SATA controller for extra storage. I have copy of 2008 w\cals for it.... Hopefully your controller will have a connection for addition disk other than the backplane. |
