720769 2008-11-17 06:54:00 Can you tell us what the BSOD says or what the corresponding entry in the event logs is? stormdragon (6013)
720770 2008-11-17 07:01:00 It says a bunch of stuff about shutting down now and down the bottom it says Dumping memory and it goes up in 10s (about one second each 10) untill it reaches 100 then it shuts down. esayolay (13857)
720771 2008-11-17 07:04:00 Does it say the name of a driver / file?

If its a stop error, whats the stop error say?? 0xxxx or something?

720772 2008-11-17 07:29:00 Time to clean out the dust from your laptop. The are notorious dust collectors and run close to the limit of heat dissipation. Any dust will push it over the boundaries and bang BSoD.
Because they are running at full speed while playing games the heat problem usually shows up during hi graphics requirement games.

Clean the dust out!

720773 2008-11-17 07:36:00 how exactly do you clean out the dust? remember i have a laptop plus i am inexperienced at taking them apart. :s esayolay (13857)
720774 2008-11-17 07:46:00 If your unsure, Take it to a laptop specialist. porkster (6331)
720775 2008-11-17 07:55:00 lol our laptop specialist is the school technicians, and i dont think they will be too happy to do that so i can play games :P. I think if i try and fix it somewhere else it will void the warranty.

Ah well too bad. Is there any way to clean it without taking it apart?

Is the laptop yours?.....cant see a school tech having a problem like that....they may teach you something....certainly no IT novice should be pulling laptops apart to clear dust....where are you playing?, on your lap?, make sure the vents have good clean air to cool the insides...

Firstly, you haven't met our technicians. They are real lazy and if they fix that it will take ages and they will probably search my computer and find all my illegal stuff :D jk....
I am playing on a flat surface that retains no heat. The air vents are always clear.
Although, this problem did first occur when i was playing with it on my lap, and since then it has being getting more and more easy to overheat... :waughh:
