720438 2008-11-15 22:22:00 I've been using the isposure website for testing internet performance for the last week or so and have been getting satisfactory reports on everything except Address Lookup speed. It's consistently very low (under 20 per sec) whereas other users are getting in the high hundreds!
I'm wondering how this is affecting my internet experience, and if there's anything I can do about it. I'm on the Telecom Explorer plan.
Cheers.

The off the chart DNS measurements are measuring the DNS response from a local caching DNS server. It's likely that the DNS server on the PC is set to that of your router, which is acting as a caching DNS server. If you hardcode the DNS servers to that of the ISP (on the PC) then the numbers should drop back to a sensible speed.

But caching DNS servers are a good thing, and generally it's worth leaving them set to your router.
