720724 2008-11-17 10:24:00 Because they are 99% of the time asked by children who have nefarious intentions.

And any parent concerned about their kids internet browsing should:
A)Talk to them about it
B)HAve the PC in a fmaily room and watch their kids.

Not install malware.

How do you know that they are asked by children? And how can you possibly know what their intentions are? If you don't give someone help they will just find it elsewhere, and maybe won't come back to this site.

I don't think it should be up to the Press F1 forum to interrogate a person on why they want to do something and decide if it's right or wrong.

And unless you have super-powered vision, you can not read what a child is writing in an IM or email from the other side of the room. Also, talking to your children about things like porn sites would probably do more harm than good if they have not yet came across one, as they would then be curious and most likely would go and search for porn. It is a much better idea to monitor what they're doing first, and then you can have a discussion with them and block the site with a firewall or Net-Nanny-like program if you spot something inappropriate.

And how can you say something like Spector Pro www.spectorsoft.com - with all of it's awards and testimonials - is malware?

720725 2008-11-17 10:44:00 If more parents did that, than there would be less disturbed young people turning into murderers and rapists. The minds of young children can so easily be twisted by modern society, and it's up to the parents to ensure that they remain safe. And if that means using keylogging or monitoring software, so be it.

How about people put some effort into parenting rather then turning the job over to a bit of software?

Come on we have told you some things what you can do and you still persist in this very very dodgy activity Mafioso and Samnorr,I am wandering if these two are the same person!!!

If you don't give someone help they will just find it elsewhere, and maybe won't come back to this site.

I don't think it should be up to the Press F1 forum to interrogate a person on why they want to do something and decide if it's right or wrong.

Why not?
If someone wants to know how to break into a car or a house would you tell them how to do it?
Lets see now is that right or wrong yes of course it is but I am not allowed to decide that because some stupid kid on the internet told me I am not allowed to.....:rolleyes:

And unless you have super-powered vision, you can not read what a child is writing in an IM or email from the other side of the room.

Quote:memphis; But really you can walk past them, having a quick look at the screen without them knowing, offer them a drink/something to eat,and when its time for them to go to bed you know they are still not on the computer as it's in the lounge and your in there watching tv!!!

Quote:memphis;Plus you can get a programe called Net Nanny as well to look after your kids while they are on the internet.

Buy it then!!!

(Don't need it if you have got good parents,Net Nanny, firewall and have some other good programmes to block bad sites to look after the kids).

There is really no need to be rude, I am just giving my opinion, not trying to take over this forum. Sorry I even bothered.
