We have a dept one next week with a secret santa present staff only. & then there is a family one just before Xmas free for everyone. We have a BBQ brunch on the last day & get hams or turkeys too. | 503363 | 2006-12-04 15:43:00 | my new place of work has one too but since we are all on shift work many people will be working and miss out......its free with food and some booze however also those who miss out on the party well we still get a ham i'm told at christmas................ONE ham appears in the smoko room fridge without warning i'm told, and if you are not quick with your bread/butter/knife then you'll have to wait till next year.....there are about a dozen people in our little division and we all get to share the ham lol......... | drcspy (146) | ||

"Service Industry" means service to the customer. Too many shopkeepers seem to regard customers as a nuisance. To me Xmas means stale bread. |

Too many shopkeepers seem to regard customers as a nuisance. To me Xmas means stale bread. If there were enough people willing to part with money over that period, I'm sure they would stay open. A lot of businesses close during that period because they are too quiet & wouldn't make enough money to cover the costs of staying open. |
