| 720531 | 2008-11-16 01:37:00 | Hi all, I have 3 hard drives in my computer - one for XP, one for Vista and a data drive. I am currently using Vista's Complete PC Backup program to back up the XP and Vista drives to one external drive. This is working well. I also want to back up my data drive to a second external drive (one external drive isn't big enough to hold data from all 3 drives). From what I can see, I can't have two backup 'jobs' on the same Vista machine (in Vista's backup program), so I'm now looking for a simple backup manager - one that simply copies all files that have been modified (on the data drive) since the previous backup onto the second external drive. Is there a reliable (free) backup manager that would do this for me? TIA :) |

One of the biggest pains with a lot of backup software is they backup in their own format, meaning you cant replace just one or two files if you want access to them. But Another One I use sometimes is Handy Backup (www.handybackup.com/) -it allows you to look/ extract single files on any backup location, you can take the files to any PC and open the contents and read the files if required - while its not free it works good, there is a trial to see if you like it or not. |
