504669 2006-12-06 15:39:00 By the "Fair Use By Proxy" laws here in the US, I have purchased and have in my little hands right here, the whole DVD called "Germinal" by Emil Zola .

One of my favorite books, now I have it in DVD format .

Here's the problem . . . again . . I OWN THIS DVD . . . .

It says via DVD Shrink that there are four languages on the disc .

French
English
Bulgarian
Italian

I have tried to get it to run in English, and it SAYS it is running in English, but it is French .

Any Ideas? I have a dual DVD player that can handle PAL and NTSC . . . . so I can see it all well enough . It is PAL/Euro .

It is not black market, bootlegged, hacked or anything else . . . even the original copy cannot produce anything but French, Italian and Bulgarian . . . not even English subtitles .

My Italian is poor ("Pizza", "Chianti", "Tourista"), French is very weak ("Do you have clean drinking water?", "Do you have a flushing toilet?"), and Bulgarian is just a few tourist phrases, ("Hello, Don't shoot/rob/rape me/my goat", "Is this really beer?", "Has our bus driver been shot?") .

I really want to hear the script . . . HELP!

504670 2006-12-06 21:50:00 Due to Common Market rules interpreted by a Frenchman, it is probably in French with an English accent. Mon Dieu, why do you foreigners never learn the proper French.
The bus driver recovers by the way, and the goat escapes by swimming through the drinking water.
