503841 2006-12-02 22:29:00 ***, The headline of that article is "Rumours suggest iTunes is just days away"

Anyway, whipdeedoo, iTunes is right up there with other fantastic events like McDonald's launching a new burger and reruns of Rosanne.

503842 2006-12-03 02:55:00 Now where have I heard that before...

This must be the hundredth rumour that we've heard about the iTunes Music Store setting up shop here, so this is probably just another false start.

503843 2006-12-03 03:45:00 It says new product.
Now it could be Itunes, but it could also be Apple's Home Theatre PC (can't remember the name) or it could be Apple's mobile phone.

503844 2006-12-03 09:37:00 Any major product announcement that is applicable to the world as a whole such as an "iPhone" will be made at Macworld San Francisco (beginning of January). I wouldn't trust the NZ Herald with regards to when iTunes will launched here (they have some very inaccurate technology articles at times).

it could also be Apple's Home Theatre PC (can't remember the name)The current codename is iTV, though it is unlikely that will be the final product name. From memory, they said Q1, 2007 for a release date.

503845 2006-12-04 04:32:00 Whatever happens now we have not long to wait !!!!!

I believe (hope !) that the NZ Herald is right (though it matters less to me than it did a few months ago).

Some things come into perspective... one thing after another ... hope Susan Wood is okay... have never recovered fully from "Angel Eve" etc !)

503846 2006-12-04 04:59:00 While I am eagerly looking forward to a NZ iTunes store, and have compiled a list of songs and albums I'd like to buy, what really intrigues me is what the songs and albums will cost to download.

I'd be stunned if songs were $1.69 -- nominally the same as Australia, and amazed if they were the same as Digirama i.e. $1.75 per song and $17 for most albums. If that were the case I'd probably stop buying CD's. ;)

503847 2006-12-04 22:24:00 i just read on the official apple discussion boards that a tech said apple is going to use 2007 to roll out movie downloads worldwide. wooohoooo lance4k (4644)
503848 2006-12-04 22:35:00 The new Apples are all going to be organically grown R2x1 (4628)
503849 2006-12-05 04:53:00 Uhhh ... doesn't "worldwide" in the US mean "across the US" to the rest of the world?? Antmannz (6583)
