How come my nvidia geforce 9200M GS in my laptop running vista, says it has 1516MB RAM? That seems very excessive, and can i like minimise this to say 512MB? |

I think its counting the "shared memory" you have as RAM. AFAIK, you can alter the amount of "shared memory" in the BIOS or your gfx card's control panel (drivers) |

looked in the Bios, No options about changing shared memory. looked in the advanced settings of the Nvidia control panel - nothing either. I still think 1.5GB video ram, is serious overkill for me, since i only watch dvds on here. |

Just looking thru the manuals, the laptop has a dedicated Video RAM of 256MB, the other 1200MB or so is taken from my 4GB system RAM. Im not out of RAM, which is good, just thought its excessive for internet and instant messaging heh. |
