721415 2008-11-19 10:14:00 Hi Guys

Here's another Freeware recomendation. This one helps with Laptop Physical Security. It called LAPTOP ALARM. (www.download.com)

If a thief unplugs, moves your mouse, unplugs the power supply, logs you off or shuts down the Lappie then a loud alarm sounds. All the above options are selectable.

Before all the peramists reply, let me say this is not intended as a replacement for a good security lock but for use with it. Of course, a determined thief will still take a screaming laptop no matter what but this makes it a little bit harder.

Next program is one I've used for a while now it's called LOCATEPC. (www.iconico.com) If the laptop is connected to the net from another location, the new location and details are sent to your selected email address which you access from another computer. For example, your partner's e-mail. Hopefully armed with this information, you might just get your Laptop back.

Try these, the next computer you save might be your own!!
