506200 2006-12-12 10:24:00 Cringe time...

www.nzherald.co.nz

Looks like it will turn out to be a CNN clone with a bit of vomit green thrown in.

Change is often interesting. Look forward to seeing it. Seeing as it costs bugger-all to read their online news I don't much care whether they change it or not.

506203 2006-12-12 19:11:00 The redesign is the first of a series of big changes to be rolled out through 2007, including more ways for you to have your say and enhanced multimedia.

Everyone on "basic" ADSL plans will be finding their monthly caps woefully inadequate fairly soon.

506204 2006-12-12 20:34:00 Looks good to me. Hopefully the new site will adapt better to larger screen resolutions and hopefully their videos will be available in multiple formats (ie. not just WMV). :) maccrazy (6741)
506205 2006-12-12 20:52:00 hopefully their videos will be available in multiple formats (ie . not just WMV) . Why? I thought every Windows machine had Windows Media Player installed .

506206 2006-12-12 21:39:00 Excellent. Ive changed my website design ten times in the last 2 years. Im glad stuff is changing the design. jermsie (6820)
506207 2006-12-12 21:42:00 Why? I thought every Windows machine had Windows Media Player installed.

But every Mac doesn't because Microsoft no longer develops Windows Media Player for Mac OS X (and the last version they made doesn't work very well - streaming media tends to work only 50% of the time, there are usually no fast forward or rewind buttons for streaming media like QuickTime and content with DRM doesn't seem to play, not to mention the fact it doesn't scale video very well etc.). ;)

506208 2006-12-12 22:09:00 I don't care much either, just so long as they don't go the way of the woeful PCWorld (not our NZPCWorld) site... don't try opening it in IEtab, you will be assaulted with every gimmic know to web 'design' (sic) Gets my vote for worst web design of the millenium :stare: Shortcircuit (1666)
