2006-12-11 04:59:00 | ummm.. memphis, do you think an idiot like this would care what age it is legal to drink at? I don't know why everyone is on about raising the drinking age.. weren't you people kids once too? I've known kids drinking since they were 13. It's even more appealing when you know you can get into trouble! It doesn't matter what age the limit is set at, if they are going to drink they will. Alcohol is so easy to get hold of, raising the limit may make it more difficult, but I remember when I was 16 I never had any trouble getting hold of drink... And this idiot in particular doesn't even care that he was drink driving, raising the age isn't going to make him think any different. What really got me about the article was at the end where it says: "Police said the incident would be investigated by the police complaints authority. They have not so far said whether Rae is likely to face charges." What the hell? Why are the even questioning if he is going to face charges???? I'm sure we'll see this hammer head in the headlines again... hopefully on his own off the Auckland harbour bridge... Maybe they will skip the charges completely and bring back capital punishment? If not I'm sure Darwinism will catch up to him sooner than later :P

2006-12-11 07:01:00 | One small piece of lead with a little bit of gunpowder behind it should do it !!!! PJ You can't use lead - thats bad for the environment. If you are going to kill someone, you have to use hippie certified bullets

2006-12-11 07:47:00 | he should be neutered. If they don't have the balls to kill him, they could at least prevent him from making a continued mess. | DangerousDave (697) | |
2006-12-11 08:23:00 | This is why the drinking age should be raised . Idiots like this are too common at a young age . I reckon he should spend 24 hrs with an ambulance crew on the front line who deal with the mess people like him make . 24 hrs with the cops on the front line dealing with the drunks . 24 hrs with people who have lost loved ones to drunks like him . Let them give him an ear full and a twack to wake him up . 24 hrs talking with the drunks in prison who have killed people . And another 24 hrs in solitary in the prison to think about what a IDIOT he is and he better change for the better . And his whole family can do the same as they are just as bad as him if not more so as they let him drink and drive in the first place . Oh yeah and 24 hrs is the minimum for each one, more the better . Oh and it should be pointed out how much this all costs to us tax payers and because of dumb idiots like him how it effects everyone else such as hospital waiting lists money is spent on drunk fools like him instead of more deserving people . Bloody mps lowering the drinking age has brought nothing but trouble/expense for NZ . I bet they got kick backs for doing it too . :2cents: WOW, thats sounds really well thought out, it makes you wonder how laws/sentencing guidelines etc are really so far of the mark, its an insult to the victims .

2006-12-11 08:36:00 | He wouldn't give a damn about any of those "well thought out" punishments, People like him dont consider themselves part of our society, In fact they it it and the faceless masses, Probally get a kick out of all the people getting the waste late at night, and a thump with a phone book? What would that do?, annoy him for a second? Even a thump to the head with a knuckle doesn't really hurt.
