There is so much pirated stuff in those countries that noone would use it. WHen I went to thailand, there were pirated copies of dvds, music cds, just about everything, even movies that had only just come out on film.

Pantip Plaza :thumbs:. 4 stories of pirated material for everyone. There was clothes and toys on the 1st level, electrical on the second floor eg PS/2, Xbox, anything nintendo. The next floor was movies and games. The top floor was food and 3 lan cafes. For some reason I remember an ice skating ring but that may have been one of the malls there.

Music came in around $2.50-$3 a CD. One I picked up for $3 had 6 albums on it :eek: Also love how the guys selling movies work. They show you covers of movies and you pick the ones you want, 5 minutes later they come back with still warm from copying dvd's :D (reason they don't sell cds in store is from the frequent police raids). There its a everyday thing and quite an adventure. NZ's a bit more limited :rolleyes:
