or just some badly designed code?

I found this link as a google advert, but in IE7 the program doesn't want me to visit the site saying it's certificate is in error and could be dangerous.

We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website.

But google.co.nz must be a legitimate google site.

504822 2006-12-07 05:34:00 It tells me in Firefox you are accessing a secure website.

And yes the .co.nz is from Google.

504823 2006-12-07 08:46:00 The SSL certificate for that site is registered to the host "google.com" and IE is alerting you to the fact the host you are connecting to is "google.co.nz" not .com and it could be a spoofed certificate.

In this case its just google not bothering to purchase a certificate for their other hosts :D

Looks like someone else has come across the issue as well...

IE was unable to contact the issuer of the security certificate, namely Microsoft, so it created a warning. Was nothing major, so I ignored it of course, but was worth noting.

Worse are the numorous errors I get from Google’s secure pages, like Google Checkout, Gmail, Google Adsense and Google Adwords, when using IE7 (usually differing digital signature addresses is the culprit).
