722256 2008-11-23 19:38:00 I've got a 10 year old Mustek 600 II CD scanner which I'm trying to install on my Win XP machine. However this (www.mustek.com.tw) page only supplies NT drivers - I tried it but it doesn't install. Any ideas please?

Thx.

722257 2008-11-23 19:41:00 My last scanner had no Win2K drivers. But I found that the Win NT4 drivers basically worked.. paulw (1826)

:)Thanks.

It's not a USB machine - it uses a parallel port. Do you think it'd still work?

722260 2008-11-24 06:09:00 you could just punch your scanners name into a google search with drivers and see what comes up nedkelly (9059)
722261 2008-11-24 07:03:00 Found the following on several sites - may or may not work.

Make a System Restore Point FIRST before doing anything in case it all turns to custard.

1 Install old windows NT driver (Mustek V2.0)

2 Locate and note the name of the driver sys file located in c:\windows\system32\drivers
(can be either a4sii300.dll or ab306p.sys)

3 Instal the scaner driver for UMAX 610P scaner included in XP CD

4 Start REGEDIT and search for umaxpcls.sys and replace this entry with the driver identified in step 2.

5 Restart Windows
